Trenord is looking for train drivers, applications open

Selection starts from Wednesday 3 January at 11am, a construction project manager is also required

Trenord selects new train drivers. From 11am tomorrow, Wednesday 3 January 2024, it will be possible to submit your application to join the team of staff responsible for conducting the over 2,200 journeys carried out every day in Lombardy, in seven provinces of the neighboring regions and on the Malpensa Express airport connection. It will be possible to participate in the selection until January 31st, according to the instructions that will be made available on the ‘Work with us’ page of the website. The Lombardy railway company also selects a construction project manager.

Trenord train driver, duties and contract

The train driver is responsible for running our trains and carries out his activity in constant collaboration with the train conductor and the operations room. Candidates selected for this role will participate in the training course organized by the company, which will allow them to acquire the necessary skills. At the end of the course which will lead to the achievement of the European License and Complementary Certificate A4/B1, which will last approximately 6 months, the professionals will undergo a 5-month training and internship period in conduct before entering service. To participate in the selection it is necessary to have a five-year high school diploma. Residence in Lombardy and at least two years’ experience in the technical sector are preferred. Candidates are required to be willing to travel to Lombardy and neighboring regions; flexible hours, aptitude for problem solving, precision, strong sense of responsibility, emotional resilience and propensity for teamwork.

Trenord is also looking for construction project manager

On the website it is also possible to apply for the position of construction project manager. The selected figure will be included in the team that supports the Asset, Plant and Equipment Maintenance Manager in the management, planning and control of ordinary and extraordinary maintenance activities of building works.

To participate in the selection, candidates are required to have a degree in Building, Civil or Architecture Engineering. Previous experience in the role of at least 3-5 years is required, preferably in complex and/or industrial fields. Knowledge of the construction site safety regulations of Legislative Decree 81 is required. The requirements also include knowledge of the English language and of the Office package and Autocad. Qualification for the Csp/Cse role is preferable. The required profile is completed by excellent organizational and analytical skills, a propensity for problem solving, strong relational and communication skills and flexibility. Availability for daily trips to the Trenord plants located in Milan and throughout Lombardy is required. The place of work is in Rho Fiera Milano.
