TV, Fiorello: “Morning show? Mine is a morning show, there is sovereignty”

The press conference to present ‘Viva Rai2’

“We don’t do a morning show, we do a morning show because there is sovereignty here”. The press conference of Fiorello presenting today in the Rai headquarters in Viale Mazzini ‘Viva Rai2’, his new morning show with which from 5 December at 7.15 will accompany the awakening of Italians from the screens of the second public service network (but the show will also be available on Rai Play, Radio 2, Rai Radio Tutta Italiana and Rai Play Sound), with a mix of one man shows, press releases, musical and non-musical guests sent sui generis, naturally all in the name of irony.

“Here there are more people than on Rai2 in the morning”, he says as he arrives on a vespa from via Asiago to a crowded Sala degli Arazzi. When the Ad Rai, Carlo Fuortes, after indicating him as an example of public service, confesses that he would have liked it not in a morning show but in prime time, Fiorello reacts: “I’ve already been sleeping for two hours in prime time”.
