Ukraine, air defense systems are sprouting in the center of Moscow

Pantsir-S1 system on the roof of the Ministry of Defence

Air defense systems have appeared in the center of Moscow. For example, writes the Moscow Times, on the roof of the Ministry of Defence where photos and videos posted on the net in these hours show the presence of what is considered a system Pantsir-S1. This month, another Pantsir-S1 system was reported to be installed ten kilometers from President Putin’s residence.

Moscow is located about 700 kilometers from the Ukrainian border. But the Russian authorities fear the extension of the launch capability of the systems available to the Kiev forces. Batteries of S-400s have been sighted in a park north of Moscow and at a test base northeast of Moscow. “They are responsible for the security of the whole country and of the capital in particular”, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov explained, referring to the Defense Ministry.
