Ukraine, Erdogan: “West provokes, Russia should not be underestimated”

“The war will not end anytime soon. To those who take Russia lightly, I say they are wrong.”

“I don’t approve of the West’s approach to the Russia-Ukraine war. The West follows a policy that is based on provocation.” This is what the Turkish leader said, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, in statements reported by the official Turkish agency Aanadolu. “The war will not end anytime soon. To those who take Russia lightly, I say they are wrong – Erdogan urged from Belgrade – Russia is not a country to be underestimated”.

According to Erdogan’s accusations, Western countries “provoke” the Russia-Ukraine war by supplying weapons. “It is said that weapons are sent, they send all the pieces they have to Ukraine”, he urged, without explicitly indicating any country.

“You can’t get results as long as you try to maintain this war with provocations,” he continued during a press conference with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic.

And according to Erdogan, who refers to the energy crisis, Europe’s “mistake” was to “underestimate” Russia. “When everyone attacks her, Russia will use all the means and weapons she has at her disposal,” he said, referring to gas supplies.
