In one video, Prigozhin is pictured checking a body and documents he claims are US
A US citizen allegedly died in Bakhmut. To support it in a video released via Telegram is the head of Wagner, Yevgeny Prigozhin. This was reported by CNN which was unable to verify the authenticity of the documents shown nor the nationality of the man portrayed in the images. A pro-Kremlin military blogger, Alexander Simonov, introduces the footage – shot at night, with what appears to be the sound of mortars – and claims that “we are advancing” towards outposts in the “western Artyomovsk regions”, the Russian name by Bakhmut.
Ukraine, Russia: “A US Patriot defense system destroyed”
Prigozhin is pictured checking a body and documents he claims are US. “We will hand him over to the United States, we will put him in a coffin, we will put up the US flag out of respect because he didn’t die in his bed as an elder, but in the war,” Prigozhin says in the video. A soldier claims the man was returning fire when he died. “He was shooting, he died in battle-Prigozhin says again-so tomorrow morning we will deliver his documents and prepare everything, right?”.
