The vice-president of the Russian Security Council threatens the breakdown of relations between Moscow and Tel Aviv: “Providing arms to Ukraine is a very reckless move”
Israel’s decision to supply arms to Ukraine is “a truly reckless step” that “will destroy relations between our countries”. The vice president of the Russian Security Council wrote on Telegram Dmitry Medvedev, thus threatening the breakdown of diplomatic relations between Moscow and Tel Aviv should Israel deliver arms to Kiev. “It appears that Israel will supply arms to the Ukrainian regime. A very reckless move will destroy all interstate relations between our countries,” Medvedev said.
Israel’s decision to supply arms to Ukraine is a response to Russia’s use of Iranian kamikaze drones in the Ukrainian conflict. In recent hours, Nachman Shai, Israeli minister for the Diaspora, underlined the need, stating that “the time has come to provide military assistance to Ukraine, as the United States and NATO countries do”.
