Ukraine, Poland: Russia stops oil supplies, via the pipeline

Moscow has cut off all supplies. CEO of Pkn Orlen: “No consequences for consumers”

Russia has cut off all oil supplies to Poland. This was reported by the main Polish oil company, Pkn Orlen, which has stopped receiving flows through the Druzhba pipeline. On twitter, the CEO, Daniel Obajtek, wrote: “Russia has blocked all supplies”, a circumstance for which “we were prepared”. The CEO of Pkn Orlen explained that the refineries will be supplied by sea is that there will be no consequences for consumers.

The Druzhba pipeline, which supplies Poland, Germany, Hungary, the Czech Republic and Slovakia, had been excluded from European sanctions, to accommodate countries that have limited options for alternative supplies. After the reduction of the past months, Poland was only 10% dependent on Russian oil supplies.
