The leader to the mercenaries: “What is happening at the front is a disgrace in which we must not get involved”
No more war in Ukraine, “a new journey in Africa” begins. Meeting with his mercenaries in Belarus, Wagner chief Yevgheny Prigozhin outlined the mission that awaits them, according to a video posted on telegram by the group’s press service. “Welcome guys, welcome to Belarusian territory”, Prigozhin said as he welcomed the mercenaries gathered in training camps in Belarus according to the agreement reached in the aftermath of the failed uprising against the Moscow leadership on June 24th.
“We fought with honor – claims Wagner’s boss – What we did was great for Russia. What is happening at the front is a disgrace in which we must not get involved“. Then Prigozhin urges his men to behave well with the local population, orders to train the Belarusian army and to gather strength for “a new trip to Africa”. “Perhaps we will return to the special military operation at some point, when we will be sure that we will not be forced to feel ashamed”, he concludes.
Also heard in the video is a man who should be Dmitry Utkin, co-founder of Wagner: “This is not the end. This is just the beginning of the greatest work in the world which will be done very soon. And welcome to hell“.
