Ukraine-Russia, Kiev takes back Andriivka

Confirmation of Ukrainian President Zelensky on the location near Bakhmut. Fighting ongoing in Klishchiivka and Kurdyumivka

The Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed the reconquest of the town of Andriivka, near Bakhmut, by Kiev troops, in eastern Ukraine. The General Staff had already announced the liberation of Andriivka yesterday morning. “For Ukraine, this is a significant and important achievement,” the Ukrainian president emphasized in his video message.

They are instead fighting is still ongoing around the nearby towns of Klishchiivka and Kurdyumivka. The Ukrainian troops operating around Klishchiivka had announced its liberation, only to later retract the news, specifying that the clashes continue. According to the Ukrainian General Staff, Russian forces fighting in Andriivka suffered heavy losses.
