According to the foreign minister, the leader of Forza Italia “understands the need to solve the problems on which our lives depend”
“We hear the assessments and statements of many international leaders and experienced politicians. Obviously, Silvio Berlusconi is one of them”. This was stated by Russian Foreign Minister Sergej Lavrov during the press conference at the Maurya hotel in New Delhi, on the sidelines of the G20 of foreign ministers which is taking place in the Indian capital.
The Forza Italia leader, the Kremlin diplomat remarked, “is a reasonable man who does not try to paint everything in black and white, does not try to intensify tensions in the world under the slogan of the struggle of democracy against autocracy” . Berlusconi “understands the need to solve the problems on which our lives depend,” explained Lavrov.
Berlusconi ended up in the sights of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in the recent visit of Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni to Kiev. “I believe that Berlusconi’s house has never been bombed by missiles,” said Zelensky last February 21st. “The different leaders have the right to think, the real problem is the approach of Italian society which has given those leaders a mandate. I believe that Berlusconi’s house has never been bombed by missiles, never have tanks arrived in the garden of his house, no one killed his relatives, he never had to pack his suitcase at 3 in the morning to escape or his wife had to look for food and all this for the love of his Russian brothers”, Zelensky’s words.
