Kyiv reports offensive actions in Kupyan, Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiiv and Novopavliv areas
Russia is concentrating its efforts in Donetsk and Lugansk in view of a new imminent offensive. This was stated by the Ukrainian governor of the Luhansk region, Serhiy Haidai, during a television interview. In particular, the report of the General Staff of the Ukrainian army, cited by UNIAN, reports offensive actions in the areas of Kupyan, Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiiv and Novopavliv.
“Over the past 24 hours, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repulsed the attacks of the occupiers in the areas of Novoselyvske, Kreminna and Dibrova settlements of the Lugansk region and Verkhnyokamianske, Vesele, Zaliznyanske, Krasna Gora, Bakhmut, Ivanovske and Paraskoviyvka, in the region Donetsk,” the General Staff says.
For his part, the pro-Russian separatist leader Denis Pushilin, quoted by Tass, claims that Russian forces have achieved some successes in the Siversk area, fundamental for the liberation of Krasny Lyman, in Donetsk.
According to Kiev, 1,030 Russian soldiers have been killed in battle in the past 24 hours, bringing the total losses of the Russian army to around 133,190 military dead. Also destroyed were 14 tanks (3245 since the beginning of the invasion); 28 armored fighting vehicles (6443 units); 1 artillery system (2232).
Also yesterday, February 6, the Russians launched 6 missile and 24 air strikes, carried out 75 attacks from salvo missile systems, in particular against civilian objects in the Kharkiv, Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk and Kherson regions.
