The Russian president had a meeting with the soldiers of the ‘Dniepr’ army group and the airborne forces who updated him on the situation
The Russian President Vladimir Putin visited the headquarters of Russian forces in the occupied Kherson region of Ukraine. According to reports from the Kremlin, Putin had a meeting with soldiers of the ‘Dniepr’ army group and the airborne forces who updated him on the situation in Kherson and Zaporizhzhia. The Kremlin did not specify when the visit took place, the second in an area occupied by the Russians in Ukraine, after the one in Mariupol on 19 March.
In addition to the military command in Kherson, Putin visited the ‘East’ headquarters of the National Guard in the ‘Luhansk People’s Republic’. As the Kremlin’s press service also announced, the Russian president “received reports on the situation from General Alexander Lapin and other senior officials”. It was the first visit – of which the Kremlin does not provide details on when it took place – in the People’s Republic of Luhansk, annexed by Russia last September.
