“A minute of silence for the people who lost their lives”
“We have the international community on our side and we hope to have a peace summit” that could be hosted in a “third country”. This was stated by the Ukrainian president, Volodymyr Zelensky, during a press conference in Kiev. “We are working to ensure that countries from different continents are involved in the ‘peace formula'”, added Zelensky, also hoping for the participation of China and India because, he indicated, the solution to the conflict must be at a “global level”.
“Victory will be inevitable, I’m sure there will be victory” he added, saying he was convinced “that we will achieve victory already this year” said Zelensky. “I want to thank every ally, every partner who has shown us support,” continued Zelensky, underlining that “all our partners are united in supporting our victory and have reiterated that they will stand by Ukraine for as long as it takes.”
“There are representatives of the institutions, of the media who have lost their lives in Ukraine. I think it is right to acknowledge their sacrifice and observe a minute’s silence. I thank all of you, and I thank your colleagues who unfortunately are no longer with us”, he concludes.
