“There is a continuous request from the Ukrainian side for aid and we need to verify what we are able to give compared to what they would need” underlines the Minister of Defense
“Italy has done a lot, it has focused heavily on anti-aircraft defense systems to stop attacks on civil and energy infrastructures, on cities, on schools”. This was stated by Defense Minister Guido Crosetto, speaking on Skytg24 as part of the celebrations for Sky’s 20th anniversary. “The problem is that you don’t have unlimited resources. And from that point of view, Italy has done almost everything it could do, there isn’t much further space” added the minister.
Crosetto: eighth aid package? Still nothing real
“There is a continuous request from the Ukrainian side for aid and we need to verify what we are able to give compared to what they would need. The willingness to make the eighth package is there. But the eighth package is not it exists because until there is a list of materials it is just a declaration of intent and nothing real”, explained Crosetto.
Umerov: with Crosetto I talked about long-range missiles
“I had a constructive phone call with my Italian colleague Guido Crosetto. I am grateful to Italy for the constant military assistance provided to Ukraine and for participating in the Coalition. We discussed urgent Ukrainian needs on the front line: long-range missile systems and electronic warfare systems”. The Ukrainian Defense Minister, Rustem Umerov, wrote this in his telephone conversation with Crosetto.
