The trailer for the film has been published online Under the Amalfi sunsecond cinematic act of the saga that began with Under the Riccione sun (released in July 2020). This time the new chapter is dedicated (and set) to Amalfi.
The film will be released on July 13, 2022 on Netflix (also visible on Sky Q and via the app on Now Smart Stick). It marks the directorial debut of Martina Pastori, who directs a rich cast for the occasion: Lorenzo Zurzolo, Ludovica Martino, Isabella Ferrari and Luca Ward, among others.
The plot tells the facts a year later than the progenitor: after having met for the first time in Riccione (which happened the previous summer, in terms of the diegesis of the film), Vincenzo and Camilla are now a couple. But their relationship will risk being scratched, severely tested by a holiday on the Amalfi coast …
In this film, the Amalfi coast is not only a scenario: it is even one of the first women. She is a real protagonist, other than the only fifth.
Under the Amalfi sun it follows friendships and loves born in the hot months, on the beaches and in the water, making the viewer take a plunge into the most beautiful love story, as well as in the comedy that gives hilarious laughter.

The film
Under the Amalfi sun is produced by Lucky Red, written by Enrico Vanzina, Caterina Salvadori and Ciro Zecca.
It tells once again about Vincenzo, Camilla, Furio, Irene and Lucio, the characters we met in the first chapter of what is becoming an epic, in style Christmas holidaysso to speak.
In this case, however, the tip of the scales leans more towards the pink story. Rediscovered loves, new burning flames, passion, jealousy and friendship to the nth degree, these are the main ingredients of the recipe of Under the Amalfi sun.
The plot
Camilla returned from Canada after studying there for a year. She finally she can reunite with her great love of hers, Vincenzo. Although the two were already a couple, this time they can pass from theory to practice: now they can live together, they can really be together, even physically as well as ideally.
Camilla returned to Italy from Canada not alone: she is in the company of Nathalie, a Canadian girl. Furio is still what we left two years ago (we viewers) and a year ago (the protagonists of the film, in the sense that the first act of the film saga came out two years ago, in 2020, while this second chapter tells facts that occur one year after the diegesis at the time). Furio – we said – continues to try with any girl, without criteria and with very little style …
Irene, Vincenzo’s mother, is how we left her: overprotective, anxious and perpetually worried about her son. Together with Lucio, her mother Irene will decide to follow her son to Amalfi.
The stories will become tangled to the point of making the main love story, the one between Vincenzo and Camilla, somewhat trying. Will love win over life’s little adversities? And about the little adversities of the summer? We will find out shortly.
