BY THE END OF 2023
- Each coin was created with the support of Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) and the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB). The Mint expects the first coins to enter circulation by the end of 2023

NEW COURSE
- The eight new designs will replace the coins introduced under Queen Elizabeth II in 2008. The coins featuring the deceased Queen will obviously continue to circulate together with those of the son

AT THE SERVICE OF EVERYONE
- The inscription on the edge of the new £2 coin was chosen by the King and reads: “In servitio omnium”, meaning: “At the service of all”, a phrase taken from inaugural speech of the king of 9 September 2022
