US Open 2023 qualifiers from today: where to see it on TV and free streaming

It starts with the men’s and women’s SuperTennis qualifiers

The US Open 2023 live on TV and streaming unencrypted from today, August 22, 2023, on SuperTennis. Federtennis TV has been awarded the exclusive rights to the New York Grand Slam for 5 years. From today, live broadcasts begin with the qualifiers for access to the main draw of the men’s and women’s singles.

From today the matches of the Italians involved in the qualifications will be visible on the linear channel while up to 9 courts a day will be simultaneously covered live by SuperTenniX. On the streaming platform (free service for all FITP members) the main matches, highlights, interviews and many other exclusive contents will be available on demand.

The main draws will start on Monday 28th. In addition to the linear channel, SuperTennis will also broadcast the last Grand Slam of the year via HbbTV technology (acronym for Hybrid Broadcast Broadband TV) which will allow owners of Smart TVs on digital terrestrial TV to access 3 other courts at the same time by pressing the green button on the remote control: this will open a mosaic screen (landing page in jargon) in which the viewer – with the help of the arrows on the remote control – can move to select one of the 3 fields, therefore offered in addition to that contextually broadcast live on the linear channel. These additional 3 channels will remain on 24 hours a day: once the live shows are over, deferred programming will begin, exactly as on the linear channel.

The daytime sessions, with live TV of the matches, will start at 5 pm Italian time. The evening sessions, however, at one o’clock in the night. The two finals are scheduled at 10 pm Italian time.
