Usa, slowdown of Big Tech: profits down in the last quarter of 2022

Accounts under pressure for Apple, Google Alphabet and Amazon who have completed three months of big unknowns, including layoffs and disappointing results

Accounts not in line with forecasts for the major American Big Techs. Apple has seen its revenues fall due to supply chain problems in China with the delay of deliveries right around the Christmas period, a golden time for the sale of consumer products. After 14 consecutive quarters of growth, revenues of the last three months of Apple’s year fell 5.5%

Google

The holding company headed by Google closed the fourth quarter with revenues of 76.05 billion dollars, below the 76.2 estimated by analysts. YouTube ad revenue came in at $7.96 billion versus $8.25 billion expected.

Amazon

Not even Amazon convinces the market; its revenue in 2022 grew at the slowest pace since landing on Wall Street. The American e-commerce giant closed the fourth quarter with revenues up 9% but profits down. Also the estimated turnover in the first quarter of the year will be lower according to market expectations.
