Former US President Donald Trump expects to be arrested next Tuesday. He wrote it in a message published on his social media Truth, in which he also urged the country to protest. Indiscretions about Trump’s alleged arrest were also reported by the US media: the tycoon, they wrote, could be arrested for the alleged payment of 130,000 dollars to former porn star Stormy Daniels to buy her silence about their past relationship.
“Illegal leaks from the corrupt and politicized New York attorney’s office indicate, with no proven crime, that the Republican candidate and former US president will be arrested on Tuesday of next week,” Trump wrote. Then he called the “American dream dead”. “The anarchists of the radical left have stolen the elections and the heart of our country. Crime and inflation are destroying our way of life,” he added. And he invited his fans to protest: “Let’s demonstrate, let’s take back the country”.
The lawyer: “If he is indicted he will surrender”
Trump’s lawyer Joe Tacopina also spoke on the matter. Speaking to some American media, he assured that if the former president is indicted he will hand himself over to the authorities without complications. The US media explain that the tycoon could be indicted – in the context of the investigation into the payment of money to the former porn star before the 2016 elections – next week, perhaps Tuesday as he himself wrote. In the event of an indictment, they add, Trump will be fingerprinted. On the possibility of handcuffing him, however, the Secret Service will decide.
