A tour in the Marche to experience first-hand the results of the “Sport in the Parks” and “Sport di tutti – Quartieri” projects of Sport and health. The Undersecretary of State with responsibility for Sport Valentina Vezzali and the President and CEO of Sport and Health, Vito Cozzoli, visited the sports areas of the municipalities of Venarotta (AP), Montalto delle Marche (AP) and Numana (AN), and to the municipal swimming pool of Porto Sant’Elpidio (FM). A day of sport, inclusion and support for grassroots sports associations, dedicated to the people and communities of the territories who will be able to practice sports for free, every day, in open-air gyms and in redeveloped facilities.
“Talking about the value of sport is important – declares Valentina Vezzali, Undersecretary of State with responsibility for sport – creating free equipped areas for all citizens, as we did with Sport and Health, is the sign of concreteness. It is the best way to bring sport in every community and to make it accessible to all ages. My goal is to have a sportier Italy and to bring many people closer to the practice of a discipline starting with the youngest children. A thought in these difficult days for Le Marche came precisely from sport. Sofia Raffaeli, multiple world champion in rhythms, dedicated the medals she won in Bulgaria to her region, demonstrating how sport also represents a vehicle of high moral values ”.
“We want you to feel the closeness of Sport and health in such a difficult moment due to the consequences of bad weather in the Marche – said Vito Cozzoli, president and CEO of Sport and Health -. Know that you can always count on the sports system, the widest and widespread social protection network of our country. We want to take sport everywhere and affirm it as a right for everyone, without distinction. We promote a truly inclusive model of sport, which enables people to find a proposal for tailor-made physical and sporting activities , starting from school “.
