Vincenzo La Russa, brother of the senator of Fdi Ignazio, died at the age of 83. Born in Sicily in Paternò, civil lawyer, Vincenzo La Russa, following in the footsteps of his father Antonino who was a senator of the MSI, had embarked on a political career, first as a municipal and provincial councilor of Milan, the city where he had moved with his family and where he had studied, attending the Faculty of Law at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart, obtaining a degree with a thesis on constitutional law.

Following the dissolution of the DC he joined the CCD, with which he was re-elected to the Senate in the college of Caltagirone-Paternò.

In 1994 the Senate designated him as a member of the parliamentary assembly of the Council of Europe in Strasbourg (of which he became vice-president) and of the parliamentary assembly of the European Union (Western European Union) in Paris. He remained at Palazzo Madama until 1996.
