Born in 2000, BigMama participates in the Sanremo Festival 2024 among the big names, bringing rap to the Ariston stage with ‘Anger is not enough for you’. Born Marianna Mammone, 24 years old in March, the artist is considered one of the most interesting young musical acts in the country.
Yesterday the first performance in the competition – with liberating tears at the end of the performance – of the artist born in Avellino and resident until 2019 in a very small provincial town, before landing in Milan.
Among the most talented newcomers on the Italian music scene, BigMama was chosen in 2022 by a music streaming platform as one of the ten artists of RADAR Italia, the global program of the streaming platform created to support emerging talents in various countries.
BigMama’s 2022 is off to a great start: she is Zalando’s testimonial for #voceallostile for which she reinterprets the classic “No one can judge me” by Caterina Caselli and her face ends up on the most important advertising billboards in Milan.
On April 15, 2022, her first album “Next Big Thing” was released, a demonstration of all her strong character that allowed her to overcome the most difficult tests that life can throw at her. On May 1st she goes on stage at the Concertone in Rome and conquers everyone with a speech on body positivity, criticizing the bullying of which she was the victim first hand.
During the summer of the same year BigMama was the protagonist of his first tour, twenty dates around Italy in which he showed off all his talent and charisma on stage. He participates in Sanremo 2023 as a guest in the evening of duets with an iconic performance of “American Woman” together with Elodie and on February 24th he releases his new single “Ma che hit” produced by Damiank followed by the danceable song “Bloody Mary ” produced by ITACA.
After ending up on the billboards of Times Square in New York thanks to a collaboration with a well-known music streaming platform, BigMama finally arrived on the Ariston stage.
