Zelensky on helicopter crash: “Unspeakable pain, discover the causes”

“Unspeakable pain” was expressed by the Ukrainian president, Volodymyr Zelensky, speaking of the helicopter crash that took place in Brovary, an eastern suburb of Kiev, in which the leaders of the Interior Ministry lost their lives. “The exact number of victims of the tragedy is currently being determined. Among them are the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Denys Monastyrskyi, his first deputy Yevhen Yenin, Undersecretary Yuri Lubkovych, their assistants and crew of the helicopter”, confirmed Zelensky, who announced that he had instructed the security services of Ukraine, in collaboration with the national police, to “find out all the circumstances of what happened”. “My condolences to all the families and friends of the victims. Denys, Yevhen, Yuri, the Interior Ministry team, true patriots of Ukraine. May they rest in peace,” concluded Zelensky.

At least 18 people, including three children, were killed when an Interior Ministry helicopter crashed into a kindergarten in Brovary, near Kiev.
