144 Ukrainian soldiers freed today, including 95 Azovstal defenders

“We will do everything to bring home every Ukrainian man and woman”. The president of Ukraine declares this in the latest video published on Telegram Volodymyr Zelensky, commenting on the release of 144 Ukrainian soldiers, including 95 Azovstal defenders. “The oldest of them is 65 years old, the youngest 19”, says Zelensky, thanking “all those who worked to achieve this”.

“True titans who have withstood extreme moral and physical pressures”. Thus, again on Telegram, the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Denis Monastyrsky defines the released prisoners. “The vast majority of fighters have severe gunshot and shrapnel wounds, explosive wounds, burns, fractures and amputations of limbs,” Monastyrsky reports, assuring that “at the moment, all freed heroes are receiving emergency medical and psychological assistance” .

“I thank all of them for their courage and devotion to the oath, their duty towards the Ukrainian people and state. Their enterprise has already entered Ukrainian and world history”, concludes the minister.
